Meet Dr. Lauren
Dr. Lauren Lyles is a licensed acupuncturist who has been in private practice since 2015. She earned her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lauren has worked in both private practice and hospital settings. She was the first staff acupuncturist at Western Wisconsin Health, a private hospital in Baldwin, Wisconsin. There, she had the privilege of treating patients across a variety of departments, including Med/Surg, the Emergency Room, Obstetrics, and Chemo/Infusions.
Dr. Lauren has a strong clinical focus in women’s health, with particular expertise in supporting patients through menopause, painful periods, and fertility challenges. She also offers cosmetic acupuncture treatments, helping patients enhance their natural glow through holistic, non-invasive techniques. Her approach is rooted in the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal, and she finds deep fulfillment in helping patients restore balance and vitality.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child this September. When she’s not chasing babies, she enjoys wrenching on her ’78 Bronco, hiking, and baking sourdough bread.
Meet Mark Drake
Mark is a dedicated and compassionate acupuncturist with a diverse background in the healing arts. He began as a yoga and qigong instructor, studied Polarity and CranioSacral therapies along the way, and eventually committed to a four year Master of Acupuncture program at the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine, from which he graduated magna cum laude in 2022.
In addition to acupuncture, Mark’s treatment toolkit includes tui na (Chinese medical massage), gua sha, cupping, and teishin—a traditional non-insertive needle that, like acupuncture, helps to harness and fine tune the body’s intrinsic healing potential. Mark loves working closely with patients to determine which treatment tools and techniques are most effective for their individual needs.
Mark also holds a Bachelor of Music degree (Theory/Composition) from the University of Tennessee. In his free time he enjoys singing, composing, and learning to play new musical instruments, even if horribly so. He resides in Knoxville with his wife, Elizabeth, a veterinary dermatologist, and their seriously curious tabby cat, Byrdie.
